Hidden along the north-eastern boundary of Hwange National Park, The Mambanje Waterfront is an intimate safari retreat built around a natural waterhole, home to a small pod of resident hippo and visited by elephants throughout the day.
For many years this landscape suffered from heavy wildlife poaching and the disappearance of many species. Today the wilderness is slowly recovering. Elephants return to drink at the waterhole. Antelope move quietly through the surrounding bush. Birdlife fills the trees and the wetlands with colour and sound.
